The Rutgers Moot Court Board is an
autonomous student-run organization dedicated to promoting superior
advocacy skills. The Moot Court Board sponsors and coordinates various
competitions including:
The work of the Board includes researching and writing competition
problems and administering the mock trial and appellate advocacy
competitions. It endeavors to field teams representing Rutgers School
of Law-Newark in regional and national competitions. The Board
encourages student participation in its competitions and other
activities. In addition, the Moot Court Board encourages and assists
student participation in specialized competitions, including the Wagner
Labor Law Competition, the Albert R. Mugel National Moot Court Tax
Competition, the American Patent Law Association Competition, the
ABA/LSD Client Counseling Competition, National Animal Advocacy
Competition, and the Negotiations Competition.
Fall Semester Activities: The Baker Competition FINALS
The Nathan Baker Trial Competition Finals will be held
on November 12, 2009, in the Baker Trial Courtroom, at 6:00 PM. The
finalists are:
Alona Katz & Sarah Garvey-Potvin
and
Corey Cohen & Sarah Nuffer
Judging the Competition will be the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Chief
Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Immediately following the conclusion of the Competition, please join
the Moot Court Board for refreshments at the Awards Reception.
