Interscholastic Competitions Committee

This committee shall aggressively promote Rutgers School of Law-Newark participation in a variety of moot court competitions sponsored by law schools and other organizations throughout the region and the country. This committee shall be responsible for acting as liaison between Rutgers and organizations coordinating the various competitions, promoting these competitions within the Rutgers Law School community and supporting participating teams representing Rutgers. The Inter-Scholastic Competition Committee shall be empowered to recommend the awarding of academic credit to competitors based upon quality of written work and/or notification from the sponsoring organization. At the conclusion of each competition, the committee shall submit to the Co-Chairpersons a complete list of competitors recommended to receive credit. Final decisions as to academic credit shall be made by the Co-Chairpersons, the Board faculty advisor and Rutgers Law School administration. Members of this committee will not be permitted to compete in the competitions promoted where it shall appear that such participation would be inappropriate.
